Pipe Creek Water Well was cited by the Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District board last week for what was described as “complete contempt and total disregard for district and state rules.”
The list of violations stems from a permit granted to the water well company almost a year ago on Oct. 31, 2011. According to BCRAGD General Manager Dave Mauk, Robert Rae Powell, the owner of Pipe Creek Water Well, was granted a permit to drill a residential well. In June, the owner of the well complained that his well site, which he was told had collapsed, was in complete disarray.
